The total cost of the project is PLN 14,685,672.75.

The objective of the project is to protect and develop the cultural heritage of the Medieval Post-Cistercian Abbey in Pelplin.

As part of the project, the Kociewian Cultural Centre (KCC) will be created from three buildings of the Diocese. The KCC will provide a rich cultural and educational offer for visitors and residents of Pelplin. In addition, the infrastructure that will be managed by the KCC will be made available to local NGOs for their own statutory cultural and educational activities.

One of the most important activities of the project is the establishment of a new cultural and educational offer: tours around the Abbey with a guide, historical workshops, educational and artistic workshops, ethnographic classes, music workshops, Book Club, quizzes on the history of the Cistercian Abbey, Pelplin and Kociewie, four permanent exhibitions. In addition, the Centre’s premises will be made available to organised groups, both local and visiting.

Information activities will also be undertaken to promote the new offer on the market (promotional materials, website, articles in the press and Internet, information board, commemorative plaque).
